About DMI
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a therapeutic technique used by physical and occupational therapists to help children overcome gross motor challenges. Driven by a vision to make quality therapy accessible to all children and their families, DMI co-founders, Jake Kreindler and Jo-Anne Weltman, set out to share this transformative method with therapists around the globe. Since the first DMI training course in 2021, more than 4,000 therapists across 82 countries have achieved various levels of certification, empowering countless children to reach new goals. While we are deeply proud of these dedicated therapists and their commitment to their patients and their profession, we recognize that geographical and financial barriers still limit access for many. That’s why DMI Children's Foundation was created—to break down these barriers and extend the reach of DMI therapy to underserved communities worldwide.

Cara Schiff
DMI Parent
Fundraising Coordinator
The work with the DMI Children's Foundation is deeply personal. When Cara's son was born, he experienced hypoxia at birth that led to a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. Through therapies like DMI, Jacob has reached milestones the family once feared might never come. This journey inspired Cara’s commitment to helping other families access the same life-changing opportunities that transformed her son’s life.
With years of experience in the non-profit sector supporting strategy, communications, and organizational growth, Cara brings both personal dedication and professional expertise to advancing the mission of DMI Children’s Foundation.
Cara is honored and excited to be part of this incredible foundation and looks forward to helping more families gain access to life-changing therapy for their children.
